End of An Era

Today I pack up my RED and mailed her to a very happy new owner.

The RED enabled my start in the pro world for movies and video. I shot 4 feature films, many music videos and countless commercials and shorts.

It enabled creative control unlike so many pro-sumer cameras. It enabled the pros to take at least a 2nd look at who I was and help attract more work. It enabled me to learn — what’s actually important: The Story —— and at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how big of a camera is used to capture it. As long as the story resonates with the audience, they’ll watch just about anything.

I’m saddened by goodbye, but I know the lessons learned will enable everything ahead. Thanks for everything RED, I’m all in on iPhone video.
