Problem: Reaping What You’ve Sewn

Scaling. Sucks. It is SO hard to find other’s as motivated about the job as you are. When you do— you try and acquire their time and skills. Though in my experience, it gets much harder from there.

Why: Forget Money. Every time I’ve tried to scale the video team (what I do)— It is OVERWHELMING for that new person. There’s SO MUCH that is required to know in order to be successful streaming vs video production.

The Solution: The Tech Must by definition do what it is supposed to do.

How: It must become smarter. More efficient. More compact. Cost less.

Again - HOW? For me throwing more money at the problem wasn’t acutally solving the problem (more expensive gear). It was rather investing more in the companies that are really trying to solve the items above and they’ve wrapped up a lot of R&D (on their dime) to create a solution.

Example: Wifi. It sucks. Impossible to get wireless cameras to work using it. Unless wifi and how it is used becomes smarter. Wifi 5 -> Wifi 6. BOOM! A massive difference. Way less interference issues. Cameras just work again. This 1 thing eliminates a massive amount of adapters, batteries, cables, etc from the case. No more mandatory ethernet connections for everything!

One of the biggest things I heard from people is that the setup is easy once it is done, but all of the micro pieces and how they go together and then are torn down and stored in the case was impossible to keep up with.
